PragueA strong team of 21 athletes led by Decathlon Olympic champion Roman Sebrle and Discus Throw 2005 world leader Vera Pospisilova-Cechlova will defend the Czech Republic chances at the IAAF World Championships in Helsinki.

Olympic High Jump bronze medallist Jaroslav Baba should also be a strong medal contender.

Also in the team are former World champions Tomas Dvorak (for whom Helsinki will be the 7th World Championships!) and Sarka Kasparkova (6th appearance for her).

Jan Zelezny has been included in the team but will only decide after competing in Friday’s Golden League in Oslo whether to take part in Helsinki's World Championships.
