Hayley McGregor and and Craig Mottram, both representing the Victoria Institute of Sport, dominated today's 10,000m races at the Telstra Zatopek Classic in Melbourne, Australia, today.
McGregor, 24, in her debut at the distance won the women's race in 31:43.14 and became the fourth fastest Australian woman of all-time over the distance behind Benita Johnson, Lisa Ondieki and Susie Power, who holds the meet record of 31:26.34.
Krishna Stanton was second in 33:19.20.
Mottram, 23, the 2002 IAAF World Cup 3000m winner set a career best 10,000m time of 27:50.55, beating Lee Troop by some 23 seconds.
Forty-one year old marathon ace, Steve Moneghetti, finished third in 28:42.93.
