A further cluster of 2005 World Championship medallists headed by Bershawn Jackson, the 400m Hurdles gold medallist, have been added to the field for the 11th annual Reebok Boston Indoor Games. They join three reigning individual World champions, Tirunesh Dibaba (5000/10,000m), Lauryn Williams (100m) and Adam Nelson (Shot Put), whose participation has already been announced.
The 11th annual Reebok Boston Indoor Games, the first stop in USATF’s Visa Championship Series, will be held at the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center at Roxbury Community College on Saturday 28 January 2006.
Along with Jackson, two other individual medallists from last summer’s World Championships in Helsinki have also been added, they are Andrew Rock, a double World Championship medallist (400m silver, 4x400m gold), and Chaunte Howard, the women’s High Jump silver medallist.
Also set to compete are 2005 Visa champion Angela Daigle-Bowen, 2005 USA 100m champion Me’Lisa Barber and 2004 Olympian Muna Lee, who along with Lauryn Williams made up the USA gold medal winner 4x100m relay team in Helsinki.
