Although it has been active since 8 March 1990, from 1 January 2018 and as a result of World Athletics' decentralisation programme, its activities are now coordinated by ATLETISMO SUDAMERICANO.

For activities held in Santa Fe, the ADC has CARD Santa Fe facilities, with a synthetic track, gymnastics and weightlifting rooms, kinesiology and recovery rooms and lecture rooms for educational activities.

During the past few years, the ADC has intensified its presence in Area countries with activities meeting their needs and promoting the use of online activities, thus improving the concept of a Mobile ADC.
