Men Decathlon Event 6110m Hurdles
At the close of play on the first day of the men’s decathlon, France’s Nadir El Fassi held the lead with a total of 4139 points, ahead of Leonid Andreev with 4118 and Donovan Kilmartin with 4061.
In the sixth event of competition, the outstanding performer was Lassi Raunio (FIN), who won the first heat of the series with 14.58 to earn 901 points, followed by Leonid Andreev with a personal best of 15.11 for 836 points.
Donovan Kilmartin won his heat in a time of 15.06 for 842 points, whereas El Fassi had to settle for third place in his heat for 834 points from a time of 15.13.
After this event, the leaders remained in position, with El Fassi totalling 4973 points for the six events, Andreev 4954 andKilmartin 4903. The leaders are currently trailed by Christopher Hallman (GER) in fourth position with a total 4774 points, Darius Draudvilla from Lithuania, who earned 859 points from his 14.92 performance in the 110m hurdles, moved into fifth place.
