In the women’s Pole Vault, Katerina Badurova, the fresh new national record holder from last week’s Golden Spike meeting in Ostrava continued in good form in the town of Trinec. Badurova produced a 4.60m clearance and tried for a national record of 4.70. Helsinki World bronze medallist Pavla Rybova vaulted her season's best of 4.50m for second place.

The women’s High Jump battle ended with a win for Romana Dubnova who cleared 1.93 on her second attempt. This time Iva Strakova was second (1.91) and Barbora Lalakova, third (1.88). But all indicated they can jump higher in the coming days and weeks.

There was other good jumping by Michal Balner in the men’s Pole Vault who cleared a PB of 5.60m for victory, and by the junior Jan Kudlicka who placed second, improving to 5.50m which means second place in the current European junior lists for the year.

Roman Novotny took a good win in the Long Jump with a PB of 7.98m (+1.8), while European Indoor Champs bronze medallist Denisa Scerbova took the women’s title with a solid 6.56m (+0.9).
