Five historic facts

• United States have won 9 of the 19 world 4x100m titles at the World Championships although just twice in the last eight editions
• United States won gold at the 1991 and 2007 editions of the World Championships in Tokyo and Osaka respectively. Their winning time of 37.50 in 1991 was also a world record
• Jamaica won four successive titles in the Bolt-era between 2009-15 but just one bronze medal since in 2023
• United States, Jamaica and Canada are the only nations to have competed in all 19 editions of the men's 4x100m at the World Championships
