Five historic facts
- United States have won 9 of the 19 world 4x100m titles at the World Championships although just twice in the last eight editions
- United States won gold at the 1991 and 2007 editions of the World Championships in Tokyo and Osaka respectively. Their winning time of 37.50 in 1991 was also a world record
- Jamaica won four successive titles in the Bolt-era between 2009-15 but just one bronze medal since in 2023
