Wladyslaw Komar and Tadeusz Slusarski, Polish Olympic champions, killed in car crash
WARSAW, Aug 17 (Reuters) - Two Polish former Olympic champions died on
Monday when their car crashed head on into another vehicle near the north-western village
of Przybierowo, the Polish radio station Zet reported.
Zet said 58-year-old Wladyslaw Komar, who won the shot put gold medal at the 1972 Olympics
and 48-year-old Tadeusz Slusarski, the 1976 Olympic pole vault champion, burned to death
in their car.
