Olympic champion Ferguson to visit Disneyland in Paris

Bahamas Golden Girl and 4x100m Olympic champion Debbie Ferguson will visit Disneyland attraction park tomorrow as part of the IAAF Elite Athletes Programme.

Ferguson is currently in Paris where she will run in the 100m race of the IAAF Golden League Meeting in the Stade de France tonight.

“I am really happy to be given the chance to visit Disneyland tomorrow in Paris. I have never been in the USA and I’ve always wanted to go.”

An individual world and Olympic sprint finalist, Ferguson anchored her national 4x100m relay to gold both in Seville 99 and Sydney 2000. With a season’s best of 11.04 she won both the 100m and the 200m at her national championships in Nassau, Bahamas and is set for improving her all time best of 10.96 at this year’s World Championships in Edmonton, Canada.

Ferguson will then fly to Nice, France to compete in the Nikaia before heading to Oslo, Norway for the third leg of the IAAF Golden League Meeting.
