Dense fog and chilling conditions could not stop 5000 odd runners from joining in the 1st C. Charan Singh All India Marathon at Meerut, India on Saturday (24 Dec).
Visibility narrowed down to just 400m and local traffic made it quite difficult for runners who were were cheered by hundreds of school kids along the route.

Hoshiyar Singh Bisht of BSF, once again settled for 2nd place with 2:24:23. Bisht had won second place in the Thane Varsha Marathon in July this year. Shanti Kamal Singh of Army finished third with 2:24:38.
