GB Under 20 Team for Loughborough International

The Norwich Union GB Under 20 Team has been selected for the Loughborough International at Loughborough University on Sunday 6 June. The team will take on a Norwich Union GB International Select Team, Loughborough Students past and present, and teams from Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

The Norwich Union GB Under 20 Team includes some of the athletes who performed well in international age group competitions last year:

Craig Pickering, who won the 100m bronze medal at the IAAF World Youth Championships in Sherbrooke, competes in the 100m; European Junior 100m champion Leon Baptiste competes over 200m; Michael Rimmer, who placed fourth in the 800m at the IAAF World Youth Championship, competes at that distance; pole vault bronze medallist from Sherbrooke Steven Lewis goes in the vault and shot finalist Chris Gearing in the shot.

In the women's team, World Junior finalist from 2002 Amy Spencer runs in the 200m; 800m fifth placer from the IAAF World Youth Championships, Laura Finucane, steps down to the 400m and Jessica Ennis, fifth in the heptathlon in Sherbrooke competes in the 100m Hurdles.
