The Standard Chartered Dubai Marathon has been rescheduled for Friday 17 February. The original race, scheduled for tomorrow, 6 January, was postponed due to the sudden death of the ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Maktoum, whose funeral was today, Thursday (5).
Race Director, Peter Connerton said, “We’ll obviously lose one or two of our elite, who have commitments for March and April, but everyone has been very understanding and supportive, and we fully expect to have just as good a field, going for course records in six weeks’ time."
