PRIZE MONEY
A sum of US$280,000 in prize money will be paid by the IAAF for the two senior races. There is no prize money paid for the two junior races. The payment of prize money is dependent upon the athletes clearing the usual anti-doping procedures.

603 ENTRIES
603.2 Team and Reserves
- For the Senior Men race, teams of not more than 12 competitors can be entered, 9 will be allowed to compete of whom 6 will score.
- For the other races (Senior Women, Junior Men, Junior Women), teams of not more than 8 competitors can be entered, 6 will be allowed to compete of whom 4 will score.
603.4 Age Categories
Junior Race – Any athlete aged from 16 to 19 years on 31 December of the year of the competition (i.e, “junior” and “youth” – for 2008: born in 1989, 90, 91, 92) may compete in the Junior race.
Junior Athletes - Any Junior athlete, i.e. an athlete aged 18 or 19 years on 31 December of the year of the competition may compete in the Senior race or the Junior race.
Ages - No athlete aged less than 16 years on 31 December of the year of competition may compete in the competition.
Passports - On arrival, Team Leaders must present athletes’ passports, or other official documents, which indicate at least the year of birth, in order for photocopies to be made by the organisers.
603.5 Preliminary Entries - Preliminary entry forms in the IAAF standard format will be sent out by the IAAF. Completed forms must be received by the Organising Committee, hereafter called “LOC”, and the IAAF not later than two months before the Competition (for 2008, 30 January).
603.6 Final Entries - Final entry forms are published on line one month prior to the event. MFs are requested to fill them not later than 17 March 2008.
611 TECHNICAL MATTERS AND REQUIREMENTS (EXTRACT)
611.5 Scoring – ALL RACES: teams of six runners of whom four finishers shall score. Each race shall be scored separately.
The team results shall be decided by the aggregate of places recorded by the scoring competitors of each team. The team with the lowest aggregate of points will be judged the winner.
In assessing the aggregate, no adjustment to the scoring placings of the finishing teams shall be made in respect of any non-scoring team runners or of individual entries.
Any tie will be decided in favour of the team whose last scoring member finishes nearer the first place.
