World Athletics is seeking a Director of Competition and Events, a position based at its headquarters in Monaco.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Director of Competition and Events will manage a team of 15 who will be responsible for the delivery of world class athletics events. Those responsibilities will include the development, planning and delivery of the global athletics calendar which includes the World Athletics Series events, one-day meeting series, exhibitions and the road running circuit. The successful candidate will work closely with the CEO and leadership team to continue the development and implementation of an innovation vision for the sport.
The successful candidate will have at least 10 years' experience in sports event management with previous experience as a director or senior manager.
