This afternoon the Rt. Hon. Perry Gladstone Christie, Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of The Bahamas, greeted IAAF President Lamine Diack.
The visit was arranged to mark the occasion of the inaugural IAAF World Relays which are being hosted in Nassau on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 May.
President Diack led an IAAF delegation which included Senior Vice President Bob Hersh and General Secretary Essar Gabriel to the Prime Minister’s office in Nassau.
During the visit there was an official exchange of gifts.

Le Président Diack en réunion avec le Premier ministre des Bahamas
Cet après-midi, l’Honorable Perry Gladstone Christie, Premier ministre et Ministre des finances des Bahamas, a accueilli le Président de l’IAAF, Lamine Diack.
Cette visite était organisée pour célébrer l’édition inaugurale des Relais mondiaux de l’IAAF, qui se tiennent à Nassau samedi 24 et dimanche 25 mai.
Le Président Diack était à la tête d’une délégation, composée notamment du premier vice-Président, Bob Hersh, et du Secrétaire général de l’IAAF, Essar Gabriel, qui s’est rendue au cabinet du Premier ministre à Nassau.
La visite a aussi été l’occasion d’un échange officiel de souvenirs entre les deux parties.
