World Athletics is seeking a Head of Global Development, a position based at its headquarters in Monaco.
The Head of Global Development will work within the International Relations and Development Department whose team of 12 is primarily responsible for the relations with the World Athletics Member Federations and Area Associations, the development of the sport at all levels, and the governance of the Association. The position leads one of three pillars of the department and manages a team of five.
Reporting directly to the Director of International Relations and Development, the successful candidate will lead the creation and implementation of a development strategy for the sport from grassroots to elite levels in cooperation with Member Federations, Area Associations and other stakeholders. The candidate will work closely with the Area Associations to oversee delivery of the decentralisation programme, and will also manage, deliver and evaluate development projects and education programmes, including the e-learning project, for member federation leaders, administrators, coaches, technical officials, event organisers and other professionals working in the sport.
