Jamaican squad for Budapest

Kingston, Jamaica  A 27strong team is being sent to the 10th IAAF World Indoor Championships in Athletics, Budapest, Hungary (5-7 March).

Sprinters Asafa Powell and Brigitte Foster head a list of 13 men and 14 women who will leave for Hungary on Tuesday, with long-jumper James Beckford also a likely medal contender.

Men's team:
Asafa Powell (60metres), Dwight Thomas (60m, 60m H), Christopher Williams (200m), Latonel Williams (200m), Ricardo Williams (200m), Davian Clarke (400m, 4x400m), Richard James (400m), Gregory Haughton (400m), Maurice Wignall (60m hurdles), Germaine Mason (high jump), James Beckford (long jump), Michael McDonald (4x400m), Leroy Colquhoun (4x400m).

Women's team:
Brigitte Foster (60m), Peta-Gaye Dowdie (60m), Juliet Campbell (200m), Sandie Richards (400m, 4x400m), Michelle Burgher (400, 4x400m), Ronetta Smith (4x400m), Allison Beckford (400m, 4x400m), Lacena Golding-Clarke (60m hurdles), Delloreen Ennis London (60m hurdles), Elva Goulbourne (long jump), Trecia-Kaye Smith (triple jump), Sheryl Morgan (4x400m), Michelle Ballentine (800m), Mardrea Hyman (1,500m).
