Hartwig
clears 6.02 metres in pole vault

10 March 2002 - Sindelfingen, Germany - Jeff Hartwig of the United States cleared 6.02
metres at a German meet Sunday to become the second best pole vaulter indoor of all time.
Only world record holder Sergey Bubka of Ukraine has soared higher. His world record
stands at 6.15 , but he also has several other vaults between 6.02 and 6.15.
Radion Gataullin also cleared 6.02 in 1989.
Hartwig cleared 6.01 two days ago at another meet.
Christine Adams of Germany cleared 4.66 metres to win the women's pole vault. Only
two other women have gone higher indoors, Svetlana Feofanova of Russia at 4.75 and Stacy
Dragila of the United States at 4.70.
