France have been awarded the Spar European Cross Country women's team bronze medal after a revision of the results by the meeting's organisers.
Video evidence showed Fatiha Klilech finished 30th - one position higher than originally announced at the event in Heringsdorf on 12 December 2004.
The adjustment elevates the French squad to third place ahead of hosts Germany. The corrections to the results have been approved by the European Athletic Association's technical delegate Massimo Magnani.
The EAA will now begin an investigation of the electronic "chip" procedures currently in use at the finish, to avoid any similar incidents occurring in future.
