How to follow and watch the IAAF/Mikkeller World Cross Country Championships Aarhus 2019

The IAAF/Mikkeller World Cross Country Championships Aarhus 2019 takes place at the landmark Moesgaard Museum on Saturday (30), and you can follow all the action on the IAAF website, its associated platforms and via more than 60 broadcasters from around the world.

The innovative Aarhus course has captured the imagination of the running world, including many of the athletes who are beginning to gather in Denmark's second largest city ahead of Saturday's championships races.

In an entertaining Twitter thread that's gained considerable traction, New Zealand team member Matt Baxter shared his praise of the course after completing his first training run.

"This course is not just undulating, it climbs and drops. You never get a break. The uphills will hurt you and the down hills will break you. Good luck finding a place to catch your breath."

"If your legs are not tired enough," he continued, "there is a mud section, sand section, and water section to hurt you further. The water section is probably going to be the best place to cry without many people noticing."
