Organisers of the USATF NYC Grand Prix have announced that world and Olympic 400m hurdles champion Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone will contest the 400m flat at the Continental Tour Gold meeting in New York on 24 June.

McLaughlin-Levrone, the 2022 world female athlete of the year, is undefeated in her specialist distance since 2021, and has broken the 400m hurdles world record four times in that time span.

She opened her 2023 outdoor season with a 49.71 PB over 400m at the Wanda Diamond League meeting in Paris last week, and will line up in the same event at the USATF NYC Grand Prix.
