The official emblem of the 11th IAAF World Championships in Athletics, Osaka 2007, was launched at the Rihga Royal Hotel Osaka, yesterday (29 Nov).
Designed by Dentsu, the logo was unveiled in the presence of 100 media and other guests by Mr. Yohei Kono, President of the Organising Committee for the 11th IAAF World Championships in Athletics, Mr. Hiromasa Hemmi, General Secretary, and Mr. Koji Murofushi, the Olympic Hammer Throw gold medallist at Athens 2004.
The concept of the emblem is “TIME”, and the design is the fusion of the word “OSAKA” and the figures on a timing clock as used in athletics.
