Morocco’s Berlin mission headed by two-time marathon champion Gharib

Morocco’s team for the 12th IAAF World Championships in Athletics, Berlin, Germany (15–23 Aug) is headed by 2003/2005 World Marathon champion Jaouad Gharib, and on the women’s list by multiple global 800m medal winner Hasna Benhassi.

Gharib was the Olympic silver medallist last summer while Benhassi was bronze medallist in Beijing.

Men

100m: Aziz El Ouahabi.
200m: Khalid Idrissi Zougari.
800m: Amine Laalou.
1500m: Abdelâti Iguider, Mohamed Moustaoui, Amine Laalou.
5000m: Chaker Boujettaoui, Anas Selmouni.
3000m Steeplechase: Abdellatif Chemlal, Jamal Chatbi.
Long Jump: Yahia Berrabeh.
Marathon: Jaouad Gharib, Abderrahim Goumri, Rachid Kisri, Ahmed Badday, Mohamed Nani.

Women

800m: Hasna Benhassi, Halima Hachlaf
1500m: Siham Hilali, Btissam Lakhouad
5000m: Mariem Alaoui Selsouli
3000m Steeplechase: Hanane Ouhaddou
