Usain Bolt amazed the world of athletics by setting a fabulous new 100m World record of 9.58 in Berlin. At next week's Weltklasse Zürich, the fifth stop of the ÅF Golden League 2009, fans will have the opportunity to run against the World's Fastest Man.

On Thursday 27 August, the day before the main meeting, the line-up for a fan race in Zurich will include the Jamaican superstar. The competition will take place at Zurich’s main railway station.

The Bolt show will of course continue in Zurich after the World Championships. On 28 August, the World and Olympic champion and World record holder will run his first 100m race after his phenomenal World record run.

Whether in Kingston, Toronto, Paris, London, Berlin - or Zurich next week, audiences around the globe are in for a spectacle, wherever Bolt steps on the track. The show before and after the race has gained cult status, his relaxed approach thrills the people around the globe, while both athletics experts and general fans marvel at his stunning speed. It is hardly surprising, therefore, that Weltklasse Zürich tickets have sold out a while ago already. For those who could not get hold of a ticket, there is a chance to see Bolt live at RailCity, Zurich's main railway station on Thursday, 27 August.

Even though he will not be dashing through the station’s main hall in person, his ‘double’, made of paperboard, will race at world record speed on a 50m rail. The settings of the device will of course be adjusted to the latest World record run, allowing the audience to challenge the superstar from Jamaica, who runs more than 44 kilometres per hour at top speed.

‘Real’ Bolt to Sign Autographs

The real Usain Bolt will of course be there to give advice to those who try and run, and to sign autographs on the day before his 100m appearnace at Weltklasse Zürich. The Bolt event will be broadcast live on Radio 24, and will include Jamaican sounds, as well as beverages and fruits offered by Migros, the official catering partner of Weltklasse Zürich. And perhaps, the sprint star will even demonstrate his talents as a DJ.
