We are now just weeks away from the world’s biggest sporting festival of 2005. The 10th IAAF World Championships in Athletics will take place 6 to 14 August in and around Helsinki’s Olympic stadium, the venue which also played host to the inaugural championships in 1983. In commemoration, an extensive range of attractive products has been launched as souvenirs.
Helsinki 2005 online store is open for business
A few weeks ago we reported the announcement that Helsinki 2005 stamps and coins had gone on sale in Finland - click here for previous story. Well now athletics fans worldwide have the opportunity to buy over 100 different products which steadily will come on stream on the official on-line store. T-shirts with short or long sleeves, hats, glassware, pins, mascots, bags, watches etc…

During the championships themselves the Helsinki 2005 Official Licensed Product line will of course also be available to be bought at the Helsinki Olympic Stadium. There will be more than 10 shops in the stadium area, and special retail outlets in the Media Centre, VIP area, and Athletes' Village.
Already the range is available in almost all the department stores in the Helsinki area, in particular Stockmann which is situated in the city centre.
Part of the souvenir line will also be available in tourist and sports shops in Finland.
It should be particularly noted that Textiles are provided together with Mizuno, one of the Official IAAF Partners.
Finnish Federation site is redesigned
