British international Tim Abeyie defended his 200 metres title at the IAAF International Development indoor meeting in Budapest, Hungary.

Abeyie, who is coached by Linford Christie, made up for a disappointing display in the 60m to clinch the 200m victory in a time of 21.78.

The earlier short sprint had seen Simeon Williamson win by 0.01secs ahead of fellow Briton Mark Findlay in a time of 6.65.

World Junior 100m champion Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, broadening his experience on the European circuit, finished fourth in 6.74 with Abeyie placing behind him in 6.81.
