Lawrence Cherono shattered the course record at the TCS Amsterdam Marathon, clocking 2:04:06 at the 43rd edition of this IAAF Gold Label Road Race on Sunday (21).
With 10 men finishing within 2:08, last year’s TCS Amsterdam Marathon produced the greatest ever depth in a European race. One of the aims for this year’s edition of the IAAF Gold Label road race on Sunday (15) will be to match the quality of 12 months ago.
The Ethiopian duo of Tirfi Tsegaye and Feyse Tadese together with the USA’s Shalane Flanagan aim to become part of an exclusive distance running club at the 41st edition of the BMW Berlin Marathon, an IAAF Gold Label Road Race, on Sunday (28).
In his debut at the distance, Leonard Komon won the 34th Vattenfall Berlin Half Marathon with the world class time of 59:14, just edging out fellow Kenyan Abraham Cheroben in a sprint finish on Sunday (30).
