Formidable fields are set for the Copenhagen Half Marathon, a World Athletics Gold Label road race, which will be streamed live for free on World Athletics Inside Track on Sunday (15).
World record-holder Jacob Kiplimo faces world champion Sabastian Sawe in the men’s race, while world silver medallist Margaret Kipkemboi headlines the women’s race.
Uganda’s Kiplimo set his world record of 57:31 in Lisbon in 2021, the year he claimed Olympic 10,000m bronze in Tokyo.
Kenya’s Sawe, who won the world half marathon title in Riga last year, ran 58:24 in Prague in April.
His compatriot Kipkemboi also secured a podium place in Riga, running 1:07:26 for half marathon silver. On the track, she finished fourth in the 10,000m and fifth in the 5000m at last month’s Olympic Games in Paris.
They will be joined by Norway's Olympic and world 5000m champion Jakob Ingebrigtsen, making his half marathon debut.
