With just 20 days to go to the IAAF World Youth Championships, Cali 2015, the IAAF is happy to announce an exciting new project which will involve world and Olympic decathlon champion Ashton Eaton and five young athletes who will be competing in the Colombian city.
After the IAAF World Youth Championships next month, Eaton will select five athletes who will have particularly impressed him in Cali, with not only their achievements on the track but also their commitment to the sport and fair play.

— IAAF (@iaaforg) June 25, 2015The selection of athletes will be made across the disciplines and from a diverse group of IAAF member federations. The chosen athletes will be invited to Eugene for an all-expenses-paid three-day training camp with Eaton in early March 2016.
The athletes will stay on in Oregon and be invited guests to the IAAF World Indoor Championships, Portland 2016.
The progress of the five will then followed on the road to the IAAF World Junior Championships, Kazan 2016 and then as seniors, perhaps competing at the IAAF World Championships in the coming years; maybe even at the IAAF World Championships, Eugene 2021 when the five athletes will all be in their early 20s.

À tout juste vingt jours des Championnats du monde Cadets de l'IAAF,
Cali 2015, l'IAAF est ravie d'annoncer la création d'un nouveau
projet exaltant impliquant le champion du monde et champion olympique du
décathlon, Ashton Eaton, et cinq jeunes athlètes, choisis parmi tous
ceux en lice dans la ville colombienne.
Au terme des Championnats du monde Cadets de l'IAAF du mois prochain, Eaton sélectionnera ainsi cinq jeunes qui l'auront particulièrement impressionné à Cali, non seulement en raison de leurs performances sportives, mais également de leur engagement envers le sport et leur esprit sportif.
La sélection portera sur l'ensemble des disciplines et des Fédérations membres de l'IAAF. Les athlètes sélectionnés seront invités, tous frais payés, à Eugene, pour un camp d'entraînement de trois journées avec Eaton, dans les premiers jours de mars 2016.
Au terme du stage, les athlètes concernés ne quitteront pas l'état de l'Oregon immédiatement, car ils seront alors invités à assister aux Championnats du monde en salle de l'IAAF, Portland 2016.
La progression de ces cinq jeunes sera par la suite suivie avec intérêt, sur une voie qui pourrait les mener aux Championnats du monde Juniors de l'IAAF, Kazan 2016 puis, qui sait, jusqu'aux Championnats du monde de l'IAAF, Eugene 2021, année lors de laquelle ils auront, pour les plus âgés, tout juste vingt-et-un ans.
