34 year-old Hattestad, who was world champion in 1993 and 1997, also set a world record (68.22) at another IAAF Golden League meeting this season, the
Golden Gala Gala in Rome on June 30.
Hattestad - who along with Hicham El Guerrouj, Maurice Greene, Tatyana Kotova and Gail Devers claimed a share of the IAAF Golden League Jackpot after five wins - toppled Marion Jones from the Number 1 spot in the IAAF's World Rankings last week. She is now aiming to win her first Olympic gold on her fifth appearance at the Games.
