Twentysix athletes make up the Moroccan team for

21 August 2000 – Rabat, Morocco – Twenty-six athletes, seven of which are women, will represent Morocco at the Sydney Olympic Games, it was announced on Tuesday. Only five members of the current team took part in the 1996 Games in Atlanta.
Men
800 m: Mahjoub Haida, Moucine Chhibi, Khalid Tighziouine
1500 m: Hicham El Guerrouj, Youssef Baba, Adil El Kaouch
5000 m: Salah Hissou, Mohammed Said El Ouardi, Brahim Lahlafi

10,000 m: Said Berrioui
Long jump: Younès Moudrik, Mehdi Ghazouani
400 m hurdles: Mustapha Asdad
