IAAF ratifies World Junior Record
3 July, 2000 - Monte Carlo - The IAAF has formally ratified the World Junior Record in
the 400m hurdles set by the Australian athlete Jana Pittman:
400m Hurdles 55.20 Jana Pittman 82 AUS Pietersburg, RSA 18 Mar 2000
Jana Pittman’s performance equalled the 16 year old world record in the event set by Leslie Maxie of the United States in San Jose, California, on 9 June 1984
