World Athletics Cross Country Championships

The World Athletics Cross Country Championships is designed to showcase the distinctiveness of a host city’s landscape, challenge world-class runners and entertain spectators with technical terrain and signature course features.

Held over one day, the event comprises approximately 550 runners from about 52 countries in individual men’s and women’s races, mixed relay races and U20 races, with scope to add memorable mass races.

As the momentum behind off-road running continues to build, this event can help hosts forge new strategic partnerships and promote active tourism to a global audience.
