Hello Teachers, Youth Program Leaders, & Parents!
We're proud to have The Daily Mile Foundation supported by INEOS as an event supporter of the World Athletics Championships Oregon22, and a partner of the World Wide Welcome Youth Relay.
As a legacy of the Championships and to keep Oregon’s kids moving long after Summer 2022, Oregon Schools are making a pledge to run, walk or roll for 15-minutes at least 3-times a week this next school year with the Daily Mile. Add your school’s name to the pledge and join 14,000 schools in 87 countries around the world.
The Daily Mile is a solution to healthier, happier, more engaged kids! The Daily Mile is a whole-child movement that takes kids outside to run, jog, roll, or walk for 15-minutes each day. It is a life-changing opportunity for children and the adults who lead them. By doing The Daily Mile, kids build confidence, improve their mood, and deepen their friendships. Schools, youth groups and clubs can join The Daily Mile movement for free.
-Teachers & Youth Group Leaders experience fewer interruptions as kids return from The Daily Mile more focused and eager to participate.
-Kids improve their social-emotional well-being. They improve their ability to manage emotions, set & meet goals, foster positive relationships, and make good decisions.
-Group morale increases as leaders connect with kids and build positive relationships.
-Teachers & Youth Group Leaders are empowered as they get to decide when their group does The Daily Mile.
