What is the first thing you need to be an athlete? A body! The sport of track and field is made up of different challenges involving running, jumping, or throwing. Not only are many parts of the body working hard when we run, jump, or throw, but by working on strengthening these particular parts of the body we can run faster and longer, jump farther and higher, or throw longer and stronger. In this activity we will explore what body parts and body systems that are needed to run.
