The Brazilian team for the IAAF World Championships which will be held in Daegu, Korea, has been announced. The team will be led by World Indoor Pole Vault champion Fabiana Murer and Olympic Long Jump champion Maurren Maggi. It will also be interesting to see how Ana Claudia Lemos Silva will perform in a major championship after the 22-year-old set a new 200m South American record last week.
