The Results Database serve as the authoritative source for updating the World Rankings, and for maintaining the official All‑Time and Season Lists used across the sport. For the process to work World Athletics, in accordance with a data supply and license agreement, provides the Athletics Competition Results Data Collector with certain athlete‑identification details required for validation and correct record‑keeping. The athlete personal information includes: Given Name, Family Name, Date of Birth, Nationality, Personal Best and Season Best marks.

 

Once the results data is provided to World Athletics it is processed in accordance with the Athlete Data Protection Protocol available on this link.
