Founded in 1908, the Millrose Games is the world’s oldest indoor track and field meeting. Its history is unmatched from Paavo Nurmi to Mal Whitfield to Carl Lewis to Jackie Joyner Kersee. From 1914 to 2011 its home was Madison Square Gardens and from 2012 New York’s Armory has been its host.
The Wanamaker Mile was born in 1926 and has been won six times by Glenn Cunningham, seven by Eamonn Coghlan and eight by Bernard Lagat.
