The first ever World Athletics Ultimate Championship will be hosted by Budapest between 11-13 September in the National Athletics Centre. Only the best of the best will compete to determine the Ultimate Champion. This pioneering competition is now inviting dedicated sports fans who wish to contribute to its success as volunteers.
Olympic champions, Diamond League winners and world champions will take centre stage at the World Athletics Ultimate Championship. And now selected volunteers can contribute to make the experience of these athletes truly extraordinary.
The Volunteer and Sustainability Office of the Hungarian University of Sports Science is seeking applications from athletics fans over the age of 16 who are committed to the event and will perform their tasks with an enthusiasm that matches the awe-inspiring results they will witness at the Ultimate Championship.
In the recruitment process, volunteers with experience at sports events and English language skills will be given preference, but any language is an advantage. A minimum commitment of four days between 7-14 September is required from all volunteers.
Volunteers can assist in various areas and gain behind-the-scenes insight into the organisation of the competition. During the application process, they can choose from functional areas such as competition management, media coordination, spectator services, grandstand support, athlete airport greeting and transport, hotel info desks, and accreditation, but they can also take shifts on preparation and training days.
All selected volunteers are required to participate in a training session covering general event operations and area-specific tasks. This preparation will empower the volunteers to contribute like true superheroes to this historic sporting competition.
