YOUR RACE WEEK GUIDE

The World Championships are so close, you can almost touch them with the tip of you carbon shoes. Copenhagen is getting ready, runners are arriving from around the world, and the city is about to turn into one big celebration of road running.

From shake out runs and the Expo to Race Day and the celebrations afterwards, there is plenty happening throughout the week. Use the guide below to plan your days and make the most of WRRC Copenhagen 26.

Race week begins

The Expo opens

Race week officially gets under way when the Expo opens in Forum Copenhagen. Collect your bib number, race bag and T-shirt and explore the many exhibitors.

Social run: JOE & THE JUICE

At 18:00, join local runners for a free guided 6 km sightseeing run through Copenhagen and warm up your legs while taking in some of the city's iconic sights.

Start the day at 07:00 with an easy 5 km run around Copenhagen's lakes. Afterwards, enjoy hot coffee and a Danish pastry.

Runners Area opens

From 07:30, Fælledparken becomes the heart of the World Championships. Drop off your race bag, meet friends and family and enjoy the atmosphere before and after your race.

One mile & 5 km

The elite women in the one mile start at 10:10 and the elite men at 10:30. In the 5 km, the elite women start at 14:10 and the elite men at 14:40. Check your start group to find your own expected start time.

The half marathon takes over Copenhagen

Runners Area

The Runners Area opens at 07:30 AM. Drop off your race bag, prepare for your race and return afterwards to meet friends, refuel and celebrate.

Half marathon

The elite women start at 09:10, followed by the elite men at 09:45. Your own start time depends on your start group, so make sure you know when to be ready.

Medal Monday

The racing may be over, but your World Championship medal deserves one more moment in the spotlight. Celebrate your achievement, wear your medal proudly and keep the World Championship feeling going for one more day.

Plogging

Join us from 10:00–10:45 for a walk in and around Fælledparken while collecting litter along the way. Afterwards, coffee, tea and pastries are on us.
