Javelin Throw For Distance

Aim: To practise throwing an official javelin as far as possible using a 5-step run up with both their dominant and non-dominant arm. 

In this activity, participants start from a side on position and use a 5-step run up and throw a javelin as far as possible into the throwing area. 

Participants should remember to keep their throwing arm extended at shoulder height and as long as possible during the throw.
