JOIN WRRC COPENHAGEN 26 AS A VOLUNTEER

This September, the world's best runners and thousands of running enthusiasts will gather for the World Athletics Road Running Championships Copenhagen 2026. It will be a world-class celebration, and we need you.

As a volunteer, you become part of the team that makes the World Championship possible. You are not just standing on the sidelines. You help create the atmosphere, safety, and experience for both the elite athletes and all other participants from around the world. When the world looks to Copenhagen, it is the volunteers who make everything run smoothly. 

 

Join as a volunteer

As a volunteer at the WRRC Copenhagen 26, you will be part of the engine room behind the event. You might stand along the course guiding runners safely forward, create energy at the hydration stations, or welcome participants in the finish area. Whatever the task, you help ensure a great atmosphere, smooth flow, and a world-class experience. 

 

You don't need prior experience, just the desire to be part of something bigger. We will thoroughly prepare you for the tasks and make sure everyone is comfortable in their role.

Join as a club or association

Would your club or association like to be part of the action when the World Championships come to Copenhagen?

As a helper club, you will be a visible and important part of the event. You'll stand together along the course, at hydration stations, or in the finish area, experiencing the atmosphere up close. 

 

It is a shared experience that strengthens your community and supports your club financially. 

 

As a helper club you will receive:

- DKK 100 per hour per helper
- A strong shared experience
- Volunteer uniform
- A central role in the World Championship

 

Clubs must be able to provide a minimum of 10 people (ages 15+), but prior experience is not necessary. We will thoroughly prepare you for the tasks and make sure everyone is comfortable in their role.
