General Regulations

1. The Regulations define the rules of volunteering during the World Athletics Indoor Championships Kujawy Pomorze 26.

2. The organiser of volunteering during the World Athletics Indoor Championships Kujawy Pomorze 26 is the Local Government of Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region.

3. A volunteer is a person, who applies using the recruitment form available on the event website and signs a volunteering agreement with the Organiser.

4. A volunteer provides voluntarily and without remuneration services on the principles specified in the Law on Public Benefit Activity and Volutneering of 24 April 2003. 

5. Only an 18 years old person may become a volunteer.*

*In case the candidate is 16 years old can become a volunteer only with written parent’s consent.

 

Recruitment process and preparation of volunteers for the implementation of tasks

1. Recruitment of volunteers to participate in the World Athletics Indoor Championships Kujawy Pomorze 26 is carried out using the recruitment form available on the event’s website.

2. Candidates qualified to participate on a voluntary basis based on the history of cooperation with candidates and the quality and completeness of information in the recruitment form.

3. The final decision on cooperation rests with the organiser.

4. Selected candidates who express their willingness to serve as a volunteer group leader in the recruitment form will be invited to a mandatory recruitment interview. Candidates selected by the Organiser after the recruitment interviews will be invited to an information training that will familiarize them in detail with the organisation of the World Athletics Indoor Championships Kujawy Pomorze 26 and accompanying events.

5. Participation in recruitment interviews and training for people who obtained the role of the leader function is mandatory. People, who won’t take part in recruitment training couldn’t perform the function of a leader.

6. Each volunteer includes an information package regarding the organization of the World Athletics Indoor Championships Kujawy Pomorze 26, containing all information necessary for the proper implementation of tasks.

7. Each volunteer will sign a volunteering agreement with the Organiser.

 

Rules of cooperation and obligations of the Organiser

1. There is no monetary remuneration for the services provided by the Volunteer as part of Volunteering.

2. The Organiser of the World Athletics Indoor Championships Kujawy Pomorze 26 will provide the Volunteers with appropriate benefits in the form of clothing, food, personal accident insurance, appropriate preparation for the implementation of tasks and a certificate after the completion of the activities.

3. The Organiser is obliged to provide the Volunteers with appropriate organisation and a good environment for the implementation of tasks.

4. The tasks of the Volunteers include supporting the organization of the World Athletics Indoor Championships Kujawy Pomorze 26 and accompanying events by performing tasks in the following areas:

  • Technical Group,
  • Team Attache,
  • Transport,
  • Media,
  • Doping Control,
  • Technical Information Centre (TIC),
  • Hotels,
  • Airports,
  • Accreditation,
  • Marketing,
  • Office.

5. The final decision regarding the selection of the area of ​​work for the Volunteer is made by the Organiser.

6. The activities of volunteers during the World Athletics Indoor Championships Kujawy Pomorze 26 and accompanying events are managed by volunteer coordinators.

7. Coordinators are authorized to assign new tasks to the Volunteer.

 

Volunteer obligations

1. The volunteer is obliged to represent the event with dignity and promote sports volunteering through their attitude and commitment to the implementation of tasks.

2. The volunteer is obliged to cooperate with the volunteering Organiser, event participants and other volunteers while maintaining high standards of personal culture, commitment and kindness.

3. The volunteer is obliged to follow the instructions of the volunteer coordinator in the scope of the implementation of assigned tasks or undertake other tasks resulting from the current needs of the Organiser.

4. The volunteer is obliged to take care of the property entrusted to them by the Organiser for the duration of the tasks.

5. The volunteer cooperating with the Organiser has the appropriate qualifications to carry out the tasks.

6. The volunteer is prohibited from drinking alcohol or being under the influence of alcohol or intoxicants while carrying out the tasks.

7. The volunteer is obliged to immediately notify the Organiser of the resignation from volunteering.

8. The Volunteer undertakes to comply with the rules contained in the Volunteer Regulations.

9. In the event that the Volunteer withdraws their accreditation and equipment (clothing set), and does not undertake volunteer duties in accordance with the assignment, without a valid reason (force majeure, health, etc.), the Volunteer is obliged to return this equipment or its equivalent of 500 PLN.

 

Final regulations

1. The Organiser reserves the right to make changes to the Regulations.

2. The Organiser will immediately inform the Volunteers about any changes introduced to the Volunteer Regulations.
