World Athletics Championships Tokyo 25

Priority access to tickets to start on Monday 5 August for fans

who have registered for official Pre-sale

 

The Local Organising Committee of World Athletics Championships Tokyo 25 (LOC) is pleased to announce further details on the ticket sales for the World Athletics Championships Tokyo 25 (the WCH Tokyo 25) to be held from Saturday, 13 September to Sunday, 21, 2025 at the Japan National Stadium (marathon and race-walk will be held within Tokyo metropolitan area).

A total of 700,000 tickets are planned to be sold for the Championships. The official pre-sales will start on Monday, 5 August at 20:25 (JST) for those who are registered to receive priority access to tickets. Tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis (not by lottery method). This is the world's earliest opportunity to purchase the tickets and the LOC are expecting high demand from domestic and international fans.

WCH Tokyo 25 will be one of the largest mega-sporting events in the world during the year 2025, and fans looking for priority access to tickets, can register (free of charge) on the official website of the WCH Tokyo 25: https://worldathleticstokyo25.com/en/signup, to receive a purchase link on 5 August.

Further fan groups such as those members of the Japanese Association of Athletics Federations, and members of World Athletics’ Inside Track fanbase will also receive priority access to tickets through their own pre-sales, starting mid-August.

• 70% of tickets are priced less than 10000 JPY – don’t miss out!

 

 

 

　 Ticket price details

Ticket price details are shown as follows. (Unit: JPY per ticket)

• A separate handling fee such as system fees, ticketing fees, etc. will apply.
• In addition to the above, 2,025 special campaign tickets (2,025 JPY) will be sold for each session. (Ticket holder must attend in groups of at least 2 people with category C seats or equivalent)
• Price for one accompanying person is complimentary for a wheelchair seat (regular price for the person in the wheelchair).
• The maximum number of tickets per purchaser is 8 per session. The handling of groups will be announced separately before the start of pre-sales.

All tickets are reserved seats.

Seat selection is not available during pre-sales, select only the seat types and their area of seats. The purchasers will be notified of their seats by email in the spring of 2025.

 

 

　 Special campaign tickets

In order to make it easier for more people to join the events, 2,025 tickets at 2,025 JPY per ticket will be sold for all sessions, including the sessions where many finals will be held, for families and groups including at least one child under 18, elderly over 65, or those with a disability (Ticket holder must attend in groups of at least 2 people with category C seats or equivalent purchased in pre-sales).

• The ages of the children and elderly are as of the admission date.
• The maximum number of tickets per purchaser is 8 per session. The handling of groups will be announced separately before the start of pre-sales.
• Age and other checks may be carried out when entering the venue.

 

 

　 Prevention of Unjust Ticket Resale

Tickets cannot be purchased except through sales channels designated by the Local Organising Committee of World Athletics Championships Tokyo 25 or WORLD ATHLETICS. To transfer tickets purchased directly from us to a third party, please use the official ticket resale service or the resale service of the official ticket sales provider.

Never purchase tickets from other than such official sales channels. No one with tickets purchased through unofficial channels can be admitted to the venue.

Tickets for this event fulfill the requirements for the Specified Show and Event Tickets, and unauthorised resale of such tickets will be subject to penalties.

Details on how to apply for and purchase tickets, as well as the event timetable, will be announced before the start of pre-sales.. Those who have registered for priority access to tickets through pre-sales will also be notified by e-mail.

The number of tickets to be sold and the start of sales may be subject to change depending on the preparation status of the event, event timetable, etc.
