The IAAF website iaaf.org recorded a huge increase in use from the recently concluded IAAF World Junior Championships, Oregon 2014 over the previous edition of the same championships two years ago in Barcelona.

The new version of the IAAF website was launched at the start of November 2012 and the figures from Eugene show that it continues to be a resounding success.

Unique users accessing the website in the period from 22-27 July almost quadrupled while the average time a user spent on a page more than quadrupled.

Other statistics including overall visits and page views are almost double that from the last IAAF World Junior Championships.

Overall visits
187.64% increase. Eugene: 1,708,022 (Barcelona: 910,260)

Unique visitors
365.11% increase. Eugene: 1,214,068 (Barcelona: 332,522)

The IAAF World Junior Championships, Oregon 2014 mini-site included a comprehensive live results service, a live blog, reports on every one of the 44 events contested in Eugene, news, features and previews as well as additional content provided by Spikes.

The championships proved again, both quantitatively and qualitatively, that iaaf.org continues to be one of the leading websites provided by an international sports federation.
