Together with "VSK Noskrien" we looking forward to receiving your volunteer registration for the World Athletics Road Running Championships in Riga 2023! The inaugural World Athletics Road Running Championships, which will crown the world mile, 5 km, and half-marathon champions, will see thousands of amateur runners from at least 100 countries competing alongside elite runners.

Important Information for Volunteers

Here are the key details you need to know before applying as a volunteer:

Age Requirement: To be eligible to volunteer, you must be at least 16 years old by the start of the event (September 20, 2023). For volunteers under 18, parental or legal guardian consent is mandatory.

Language Proficiency: The official languages for volunteers are Latvian and English. You should be proficient in at least one of these languages. While the application form is in English, you can answer the questions in Latvian if preferred.

Costs and Eligibility: Please note that we will not cover accommodation, travel, or visa expenses. Additionally, ensure that you meet the requirements for volunteering in the host country.

Uniform and Attire: All volunteers will be provided with a uniform that must be worn at all times during your volunteer duties at the event. You are welcome to keep the uniform as a keepsake after the event. To enhance the volunteer experience, we have also prepared surprises and small gifts for you.

Accreditation Card: Each volunteer will receive a photo accreditation card. This card will grant you access to carry out your tasks during the event. You are allowed to keep the accreditation card as a souvenir after the event.

Meals: For every shift you complete, you will receive a meal voucher that can be redeemed for a meal.
