The World Championships come together in Fælledparken.
Whether you are running the one mile, the 5 km or the half marathon, Runners Area is the place to be before, during and after your race.
Drop off your bag. Meet your friends. Grab something to eat. Follow the action. Celebrate your achievement.
When you're not running, you're in Runners Area.

Location
Runners Area is located in Fælledparken and serves as the central hub for the World Athletics Road Running Championships Copenhagen 26.
Bag drop
Participants who bring their race bag can use the official bag drop facilities located in Runners Area.
You can also buy storage at Volt if you have a backpack or sports bag.
Meeting point
Meeting friends or family? Runners Area is the natural place to meet before and after your race.
Entry is free for everyone.
Opening hours in Runners Area
Whether you're racing, supporting or simply soaking up the atmosphere, Runners Area is open all weekend in Fælledparken.
Saturday: 7:30–18:00
Sunday: 7:30–16:00
Getting to Runners Area
Runners Area is located in Fælledparken and is easy to reach throughout championship weekend.
Take the Metro
Take Metro line M3 to Trianglen Station. From there, Runners Area is only a short walk away.
Come by bike
Cycling is one of the easiest ways to get around Copenhagen during championship weekend and reach Fælledparken.
Buy an Event Ticket
The official Event Ticket gives you unlimited public transport for 12 hours and is available in the Rejsebillet app.
For runners, family and friends
Runners Area is open to everyone and offers plenty of opportunities to spend the day together.
Bring your supporters, meet your friends and make Runners Area your base during championship weekend.
Family and friends can follow the atmosphere of the championships, enjoy food and drinks, explore activities around the area and be part of the celebration before and after the races.
We encourage all participants to bring their supporters and make a day of it.

Make it your championship base
Runners Area is more than a practical meeting point. It is where the race-day experience continues before, during and after you cross the finish line. And it is where you meet up with your friends and family.
Small choices on the day make a difference
At WRRC Copenhagen 26, we make it easy to make a few simple choices before, during and after your race. Around the event area, you will find several initiatives that help give clothing, cups and waste a new life.
Give your discarded running clothes a new life
If you wear extra clothing in the start area and leave it behind before the race begins, it will be collected after the start.
After the event, the clothing will be given a new life through a Swap Spot at Sparta Clubhouse, where others can make use of it.
Sort your waste in the event area
Throughout the event area, you will find staffed Recycling Stations where you can sort your waste.
Our team will be there to help, making it easy to find the right container when you are finished with food, drinks or anything else from the day.
Reuse a circular cup
Drinks served in the event area will be provided in circular cups.
When you are finished, simply return your cup so the material can be recycled.
These are simple solutions, but when thousands of runners and spectators come together for a World Championships, small actions add up.
Loud and proud
Runners Area is more than a place to sit down after your race.
Celebrate your achievement, explore fun activities and experiences throughout the area, connect with fellow runners and discover what our partners have prepared for championship weekend.
