Event Restrictions

 

Age restrictions

 

Persons who are under 16 years of age will only be admitted to a venue if they are accompanied by an adult (18 years and over).

 

Bags

 

Try and avoid bringing bags if you can, to reduce queues at the bag check. The maximum bag size permitted is 40cm x 30cm x 30 cm. Any bag over this size will not be allowed in the venue.

 

Camera and video equipment 

 

Small, non-professional cameras may be used to capture, record and/or transmit still images and/or data taken within venue including by sharing such still images and/or data on social media and the internet provided such capture, recording or transmission is made solely for personal, private, non-commercial and non-promotional purposes. 

 

Large photographic and/or broadcast equipment over 30cm in length, including tripods and monopods and ‘selfie’ sticks will not be allowed.

 

Prohibited items

 

Prohibited items include but are not limited to:

 

Hard sided bags of any size.

 

Soft sided bags larger than 30 litres capacity (40cm x 30cm x 30cm).

 

Food, other than limited amounts for personal consumption and baby food.

 

Any open beverage container containing any liquid or a commercially sealed beverage container in excess of 500ml. You may bring an empty reusable bottle up to 500ml  and refill once inside the venue.

 

Alcohol.

 

Any glass or container.

 

Pets or animals other than guide and service dogs.

 

Radio scanners, walkie talkies, personal wireless access points, radio frequency jamming devices or any other device which may affect equipment used by venue personnel and/or other persons engaged in the management or operation of the World Athletics Indoor Championships Glasgow 24.

 

Illegal drugs or substances.

 

Laser pens.

 

Fireworks, flares, pyrotechnics, smoke canisters or similar.

 

Inappropriately messaged clothing, banners, posters, or material of any kind displaying political and/or religious images/writing; offensive race related messages, slogans or images; offensive slogans or images as deemed by venue personnel.

 

Any objects bearing trademarks or other kinds of promotional signs and messages (of whatever nature) which World Athletic Indoor Championships Glasgow 24 believes are for promotional or marketing purposes.

 

Spray paint cans.

 

Aerosols over 250ml.

 

Any drones or unauthorised remote controlled flying device.

 

Any item which is too large to fit comfortably under a spectator seat or is likely to present a threat to safety in the event of an evacuation.

 

Any flag sticks or poles measuring over 1.5 metres in length. 

 

Can I re-enter the venue if I leave?

 

Once a ticket holder has entered a session at the venue, they are not permitted to leave and re-enter that venue during the same session. 

 

Smoking and vaping 

 

The Emirates Arena is a strictly no smoking/vaping venue.

 

Dogs

 

Only official assistance dogs are permitted in the venue and should be clearly identifiable as recommended by Assistance Dogs UK.
