World record-holder Femke Bol heads the Netherlands team that will compete at the World Athletics Indoor Championships Glasgow 24 from 1-3 March.

World 400m hurdles champion Bol goes to Glasgow on the hunt for her first world indoor title, fresh from the world indoor 400m record of 49.24 she set at the Dutch Indoor Championships in Apeldoorn on Sunday.

That mark improved her own world record of 49.26 set in Apeldoorn one year earlier and she was followed over the finish line by Lieke Klaver, who set a PB of 50.10 - a time that moved her to ninth on the world indoor all-time list.

Bol and Klaver both featured on Netherlands' gold medal-winning women’s 4x400m team at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest last year and as well as racing the 400m, they are both in the 4x400m squad for Glasgow together with fellow world relay gold medallists Eveline Saalberg, Cathelijn Peeters and Lisanne de Witte.

Nadine Visser, who won the first of her two European indoor 60m hurdles titles in Glasgow in 2019, will contest that discipline on the global stage along with Maayke Tjin A-Lim. Job Geerds is entered for the men’s 60m hurdles.

N'Ketia Seedo is selected for the women’s 60m, while 2022 world bronze medallist Jessica Schilder and two-time world fourth-place finisher Jorinde Van Klinken are named for the shot put. The men’s pole vault will feature Menno Vloon.
