Welcome to the World Athletics Indoor Championships Glasgow 2024!

Welcome to the digital home of the 19th edition of the World Athletics Indoor Championships taking place in Glasgow in 2024, or Fàilte as the Gaelic speakers in Scotland would say.

Glasgow has a proven track record of hosting world-class events including the 2014 Commonwealth Games, 2015 FIG World Gymnastics Championships, 2017 BWF Badminton World Championships, multi-sport 2018 European Championships, co-hosting UEFA Euro 2020, and the 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships. We look forward to creating more exciting sporting highlights together at the World Athletics Indoor Championships next year.

As we reach our 1 year to go milestone, we are excited to invite you to preregister for tickets now.

The logo for the World Athletics Indoor Championships Glasgow 24 was revealed 1 March, marking one year to go to the Championships.

Created by Scottish design agency Brand Oath, the logo is based on the visual framework of World Athletics and used for all their premier events. Sitting within the World Athletics brand outline, the Glasgow 24 logo introduces a Scottish flavour to the event with a contemporary twist to the nation’s iconic emblem the thistle.

The flower head, which is represented by the running track lanes, sits on a diamond tartan pattern also reflecting the Arena’s geometric architecture, all underpinned by the classic victory pose with arms aloft, universal to sport at all levels, as winners cross the finish line.

Bright, youthful colours have been chosen for the mark, with the rubine red tones linking to the city’s People Make Glasgow brand and the green representing the event’s commitment to sustainability. The animated version shows the logos building from the core elements described.

We look forward to unlocking its creative potential as we build up to the Championships!
